I recently joined Virgin mobile and subscribed to a package that included unlimited data. I have an existing blackberry. At no point was I told that they would not support blackberries unless they were bought through them. When I couldn't get it working, I called customer support. Not to go on about the unconstructiveness and general attitude of the service agent, (Matt, xt 2542, call taken at 16.52 on the 23.9.2010) (no, he refused to give me his last name), when I asked why I was not told he said "you never asked the question". Now I don't know about you, but when I get a new mobile phone service it does not occur to me to ask them if it will work with my phone!

Anyway, he was relatively rude and unhelpful so I asked to be put through to his superior which he flatly refused several times to do, since he knew I was going to complain about him. I tried to explain to him that his attitude, however he might claim to mean it, was being interpreted by me the customer as rude and unhelpful (basically, his attitude was "tough luck"), but he refused to change it and told me the "he was doing very well in his career thank you very much".

Subesquently I called back and asked one of his colleagues (Cindy, call taken at 17.09 on the same day) to put me through to a supervisor to complain. I was told they were all on the phone. I requested a call back but was never called. Astonishing. And they call it "award winning customer service". Award for the worst customer service, that is.
